I had the chance to photograph last with a friend outside of Las Vegas. There is a pretty great place there that is known for Joshua trees and wild horses. I had never seen so many stars in one place. As your eyes adjust to the night, you start to see more and more stars appear. Shooting stars fill the night sky. In the distance in the opposite direction you can see the slight glow of the city. This is one of the greatest sites you can see. If you have the chance, take it.
While we were photographing in the pond we started to hear the tromping of horses. Four horses came up right next to us to drink from the pond we were photographing. We had just a few seconds to make the exposure to get them in the image. How they stood this still, I have no idea. The horses are sharp and were lit with a flashlight while the stars of the Milky Way are sharp as well!
